From the pages you read in the LBH, perform the exercise 39.1 on page 548-49, 39.2 on pg. 550 on your own sheets of paper (which you do not need to turn in). Then perform exercise 39.4 on page 552 as your blog response.
Performing these exercises should be immensely beneficial for most of you and your future papers.

After much thought, he decided to treat carcinogens just like automobiles. Instead of living with the fear of cancer from potential carcinogens, we should note all the benefits that come from plastic bottles, pesticides, and similar products, and compare them to their negative effects. As with the automobile, we have chosen to live with its negatives and work on improving them for the benefit of society.

ReplyDeleteHe didn't want to let can cancer affect him so he decided to compare it to automobiles in order to deal with it as part of his life.
ReplyDeleteAs a coping mechanism, he used automobiles as an analogy for carcinogens. He concluded that it's not all bad or good; it's both.
ReplyDeleteHe used both the positive and negative effects of automobiles as a similar situation when he was balancing the pros and cons of cancer causing materials.
